About the CEREC Dental Crown Procedure
Thousands of dentists around the world have been using CEREC (Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics) as an alternative to the traditional dental crown procedure. It is a very effective procedure for restoring weak, decayed, or broken teeth and can improve the look and function of your smile. One of the biggest benefits of CEREC is that you can receive a high quality tooth restoration in a single visit. Dr. Michel Yazbeck can restore damaged teeth in Salaberry, Montreal without the long wait times associated with traditional restorations, as dental crowns are made right in our office. You can walk out with a beautiful smile in a single visit!
The CEREC Procedure
Very few people have teeth that are free of fillings or damage. If you have a cavity that requires a filling or a broken tooth in need of support, Dr. Yazbeck may recommend CEREC to restore and strengthen your procedure. A CEREC dental crown is made with all ceramic materials and can be placed on the same day that your tooth is prepared.
The Process
The visit involves an oral examination, during which Dr. Yazbeck will determine the appropriate treatment for your damaged tooth. You may need something as simple as a filling or you may require a full dental crown, depending on how much tooth structure is still healthy. The preparation for the crown may involve removing decayed tissue and smoothing out the area. After the tooth has been prepared, Dr. Yazbeck will take an optical impression of the tooth and take pictures. The CEREC machine will make your restoration within our office. An all ceramic, tooth colored restoration can be created and bonded into place, all during the same visit!
CEREC provides a highly aesthetic and functional restoration with the added convenience of only one visit. Learn more about the dental crown procedure with CEREC in Ahuntsic-Cartierville, Montreal by scheduling your appointment with Dr. Yazbeck today!
